May 5-7, we invite you to join Father William Meninger –internationally revered Trappist monk, teacher, author, and retreat-master – as he makes a rare visit to Chicago for a weekend retreat based on The Cloud of Unknowing.
Working closely with Thomas Keating and Basil Pennington during the 1970s, Father Meninger studied The Cloud of Unknowing, a classic 14th century teaching, and made it the basis of Centering Prayer as we know it today.
Father Meninger teaches with the wit and wisdom of a loving father. He will open your heart and leave you with joy as he shares what he has gleaned during his many years as a contemplative.
He comes to us from his home at St. Benedict’s Monastery in Snowmass, Colorado – famous as a spiritual home for Centering Prayer and the contemplative way. For decades, he has taught contemplative practices around the country and the world, sharing great love and wisdom wherever he goes. To learn more about Father Meninger visit his website at www.contemplativeprayer.net.
This Spring, welcome Father Meninger into your heart.
